First Tracks CortinaTucked into the quiet streets of Norikura, First Tracks is the kind of place where you kick your boots off, dump your gear in the corner and feel at home straight away. The lodge has been modernised with comfy rooms and a bright dining / lounge area that naturally turns into the social hub at the end of the day. Couples can find a quiet corner, while bigger groups can spread out over long tables and plan the next morning’s powder attack. The best part? You’re still just a short walk from the lifts at Hakuba Cortina. No waiting for shuttle buses, no 20-minute commute from town – just zip up your jacket, stroll up the road and you’re on the snow. For many guests, that “walk in your ski boots to the lift” distance is the reason they come back. Rooms are simple, warm and clean, there’s on-site parking for self-drivers, and you’re within walking distance of local restaurants and bars when you feel like a night out. It’s a relaxed, social base for people who care more about good snow and good company than chandeliers and bellboys. |

“Loved our stay and would definitely return”Authentic old lodge with a great atmosphere. Loved our stay and would definitely return. Don’t want to say too much because we’d love to keep this gem to ourselves! Stayed in February 2025 - Steve

“Staff were very helpful with arranging rides and letting us know about the lay of the land at check-in”Great spot mere steps from Norikura lifts. Great gear drying room on the basement floor. The room had lots of room on tatami mats for our gear. Very low-key and quiet vibe despite many other ski groups staying in the other rooms. Never a line to use the sinks to brush teeth or to use the shared toilet/bathing facilities. Breakfast was always ready nice and early and they have a 5-liter kettle with hot water for coffee and tea available throughout the day. Staff were all English speakers and were very helpful with arranging rides and letting us know about the lay of the land at check-in. Really close to the Hakuba bus route stop connecting to all the other stops on the Hakuba Valley system. Stayed in January 2025 - Erik
